Our farm has been part of Stouffville since 1845, cared for by seven generations of the Simpson family. Our story began when our ancestors settled here during the Irish potato famine, and over time the farm shifted from dairy into the potato-focused operation we are known for today.
In 1983, Larry Simpson officially established Simpson Produce, now Simpson Family Farms. Today, together with his son, Jared Simpson, the business has grown into a well-respected farming operation that manages everything from planting and harvesting to packing and delivery. Our potatoes are supplied to restaurants, chip trucks, grocery stores, and wholesalers throughout the GTA, Toronto, and all the way to Kingston. Customers rely on us for consistent quality, fair pricing, and dependable service.
Potatoes remain the backbone of our farm, but each summer we also grow a wide selection of fresh vegetables. Although we no longer participate in traditional farmers’ markets, our Farm Fresh Box Program allows families to enjoy farm-fresh produce delivered directly from our fields. Our boxes feature a variety of seasonal items such as potatoes, sweet corn, broccoli, cauliflower, beans, leafy greens, zucchini, eggplant, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, onions, beets, and squash.
We also operate a small farm store offering our potatoes, root vegetables, and maple syrup.
Today, Simpson Family Farms continues to focus on quality, honesty, and the strong work ethic that has guided our family for more than 175 years.
